This Astros fan maxed out his credit cards to attend all 7 World Series games

When Andrew Watt is asked to consider what some of his family and friends must think of him https://www.astrosfansgear.com/Astros_Jose_Altuve_Jersey-170, he takes a long pull from his Bud Light tallboy can kept snug in an old-school Astros rainbow koozie and chuckles."Oh well," Watt laughs from his seat 10 rows from Dodger Stadium's perfectly manicured green grass down the right-field line before Game 7 of the World Series. "It's my money, and I'm doing what I want with it." Those close to Watt probably have reason to think the 31-year-old oil trader might be a little crazy. After all, before the Astros played the Yankees in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series, he fired up his laptop, pulled out his credit cards and went to work on maxing them out. In exchange, he purchased tickets for all seven World Series games and flights to Los Angeles in anticipation for the greatest nine days of his life. Before Wednesday night's Game 7, Watt didn't express an ounce of regret as he sat in a prime spot near the Astros dugout where similar seats were selling for $3,500 earlier in the day https://www.astrosfansgear.com/Astros_Jake_Marisnick_Jersey-307. "I've been to every game of possibly the best World Series of all time. After Game 2, I thought I'd never see another better baseball game in my life. That turned out to not even be the best baseball game I saw that week," said Watt, who didn't want to disclose exactly how much all this has cost him except to say "10s of thousands of dollars."Watt's wild nine-day trip doesn't surprise his friends. Greg Hafer has been friends with Watt since 2004 when they both attended the Naval Academy, and they also served in the Marine Corps together. Price Harmon grew up with Watt and played Little League baseball with him. Hafer and Harmon joined Watt for Game 7, because when you're Andrew Watt and have a chance to buy tickets for Game 7 of the World Series, you don't simply buy one ticket."This is standard Watt," Hafer said. "That's what we always call it. Standard Watt."When pushed on the wisdom behind diving into debt to watch baseball games, Watt, who often has to tell people he's not related to the Texans star with the same last name, waxes philosophical."You work hard all your life to make money, and there's a point that comes where it's time to spend that money, and this is one of those times for me," said Watt, who also splurged to attend some of the Astros playoff games in Boston and New York. "When you're young, you have time to do things, but you don't have the money. When you're old, you have the money to do things, but you don't have the time. I just so happen to be at the right age where I have some money and some time to do this."Even excluding whatever could happen in Game 7, it's been a hell of a trip. There was the wild Game 2 where Watt admits he went crazy when Marwin Gonzalez hit the game-tying home run in the ninth inning. When a Dodgers fan told him he should be scared to act like that in hostile territory, Watt responded, "I'm from Texas. I'm not scared of (anything)."The word Watt used wasn't "anything."That bold response set off the Dodgers fan https://www.astrosfansgear.com/Astros_James_Hoyt_Jersey-396, who threw a punch, which missed and just grazed the bill of Watt's hat. The fan was ejected which evoked more taunts from Watt as the Dodgers fan was led away."I went to Boston and New York earlier in the playoffs, and I can honestly say, Dodgers fans are the (worst)," Watt said."Worst" is another word Watt didn't use.Watt has big plans if things go right for the Astros in Game 7. A fellow die-hard Houston sports fan gave him a "Don't Mess With Texas" flag to take with him on his final trip to Los Angeles. He smuggled it into his sock for both Games 6 and 7. He's waiting for the perfect time to pull it out and wave it for the world to see."Dodgers fans are really going to hate that," Watt said. "It's going to be awesome."
